Travel By Car from M4
We are on the North side of Cardiff in a village area of Whitchurch. This is found near the junction 32 of the M4 motorway to the North of Cardiff. If you leave the Motorway at this junction, you take the road to Whitchurch, continue for about 0.5 miles until you come to the first round-about. The Church is located at the junction of Penlline Road and Kelston Road at this round-about.
Travel By Car from Cardiff City
From Cardiff, take the A470 from the Centre of Cardiff and leave this road following the Gabalfa interchange and flyover and take the road to Whitchurch. The road continues as Merthyr Road and this eventually becomes Penlline Road. Pass the shopping Centre of Whitchurch village, cross the traffic lights and after 300 yards you come to the roundabout at the junction of Penlline Road and Kelston Road. The Church is on the Roundabout.
Parking is available in the neighbouring streets. A large public car park is available about 500 yards south towards the traffic lights on Penlline Road opposite St Mary's Parish Church.
Travel By Public Transport
A good local bus service connects us with the City Centre and the Communities of the Merthyr and the Rhondda Valleys.
The following bus services pass the Church from the Cardiff City Centre:
21/23 To and from Cardiff City via Rhiwbina
24/25 To and from Cardiff City via Llandaff village
26/26a To and from Cardiff City to Caerphilly or Pentyrch
132/135/136 To and from Pontypridd and the Rhondda Valleys.
64/65 This service crosses Cardiff on an hourly timetable and passes through Whitchurch
but does not run on Sundays.
Whitchurch is also served by valley trains at the local stations:
Coryton Station is 0.5miles and goes straight to the Cardiff City Stations(this train does not run on Sundays)
Llandaff Station is 1 mile serving the Rhonda, Aberdare, Merthyr Valley Stations and Cardiff Queens Street and Cardiff Central Stations. These trains also serve Penarth, Barry and Cardiff Bay.
