Copleston Road Methodist Church
Copleston Road Methodist Church has always been known as the Church in the middle of the houses. The Church is surrounded by housing in Copleston Road and visitors are often surprised when they find the building. The history of the society is printed elsewhere. The Society is very lively and has a great relationship with the local neighbours.

The front of the building is impressive following the recent rebuild and extension with a glass
fronted porch leading into a small entrance foyer.
Glass doors lead into the sanctuary which has a very modern appearance with comfortable chairs, a mobile dais with a mobile communion table and communion rail.
A digital projector has recently been installed with an electric retractable screen. The whole sanctuary can be re-arranged to suite the occasion.
The front of the sanctuary has a large mobile folding screen behind the curtain and this allows the two main rooms to be joined together when necessary. This gives a large area that can be used as needed. A modern audiovisual facility is available in the Church and the Hall.
The door to the right leads to a small vestry which can also be approached from the side entrance. The picture shows the prayer board with thoughts and prayers for all in needed.
A doorway leads into the Church Hall which has storage space for tables and chairs etc that can be available to suit the need.
 Adjacent to the Church hall is a modern, well equipped kitchen that has been developed to support all the social functions and the luncheon Club that meets regularly.A new toilet block has been added including handicapped facilities.
The complete building is multi functional and meets the need of the worshipping congregation and for the support of the range of activities involving the local community. It is always seen as a warm, friendly Church Society that will give you a great welcome.
