An old copy of the Centenary services of the Sunday School in 1938 still exists and it is interesting to read. A scanned version of this document follows and gives an prelude to the major changes that have taken place in the last 60 years of Sunday Schools and junior Churches.
The History of the Sunday School
A document exists of the Centenary Celebrations of the Sunday School that took place in 1938. It is extremely interesting to read the early accounts of the Sunday School and to contrast those with the current Sunday School/Junior Church . The situation and environment has changed beyond all recognition.
  
  
The Sunday School continues to flourish although in a much smaller form. It links closely with the other Youth Organisations such as “J” Club etc and now meets in the mornings during the Sunday Service. The children usually leave the Service following the second hymn and have their own classes.
